SAE Liverpool hosted with the Isle of Man school earlier in June.

This session followed on from the successful Web workshop that SAE Liverpool hosted with the Isle of Man school earlier in June. 


In the most recent film masterclass, media students from Ballakermeen High School were joined by expert Film lecturers Jake Astbury and Honey PERFECT MARKETING SOLUTION Crespo, as well as the course Programme Coordinator, Carl Copeland. Each of the lecturers talked about their own routes into the Digital Marketing Solution film industry, and they showcased some examples of SAE student work while also highlighting the different roles available to film industry graduates.


The school’s Head of Media Studies Sophie Riley said: “Media students at Ballakermeen were very excited to work with SAE who hosted Online Marketing Solution an engaging Film workshop. The three film lecturers, Carl, Jake, and Honey shared their diverse experiences, capturing the students’ interests with their expert knowledge and skills gained from the industry. Not only did their discussions provide an insight into the profession of being a filmmaker, but also inspired students to begin writing their own scripts, researching camera equipment, and Linkedin Marketing Solution making their own films. We are all thankful for the opportunity and we look forward to working with Graham and the SAE team in the future.” 


SAE Liverpool’s Film Programme Coordinator Carl Copeland said: “The session went really well. I covered the various stages of film production and used student examples to highlight good practice. We also discussed the varied roles within a production.”

University applications rise during lockdown, with fewer students currently planning to defer

A total of 514,020 people of all ages from across the UK have now applied through @UCAS_Online this year for a place on a Web Designing Packages undergraduate course – up 1.6% on this point in 2019 and reversing a fall in UK applicants from earlier this year.


Today (9 Jul), UCAS publishes the latest update Webinfomatrix on university and college applications made by 30 June 2020 – the final deadline to apply for up to five courses simultaneously.

What Should We Expect From Real Estate, In The Near Future?

How might this pandemic, affect the real estate market, in the period, following the reopening of our economy? Will sellers, expect less, and change their expectations, in terms of price, etc? How many potential buyers, may no longer feel comfortable, in terms of their personal comfort zone, making a major economic purchase, after this extended period of consumer fears, income disruptions, etc? Will potential, qualified, buyers, feel comfortable, going to Open Houses, in the near - term? What other strategies, and approaches, might be necessary? Will banks, lending institutions, and the Federal government, aggressively support, helping the real estate industries, etc? How will commercial properties, and their desirability, be impacted, etc? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss these factors, etc?

1. Sellers, and buyers, expectations, comfort zone, flexibility, etc: How many homeowners might decide to downsize, in order to have more immediate monies, available, for emergencies? Will their priorities, etc, change? Will buyers feel comfortable, making such large economic commitments, after the recent, prolonged period? How many homeowners, might feel, they need to sell, because of their changing financial circumstances? How will people's personal comfort zones, become essential factors? Will buyers, lower their standards, and/ or, expectations/ demands, and will they lower their purchase price range? How will supply, and demand, change things and Real Estate Business




2. Marketing/ sales strategies: Will virtual showings, become the norm, at least, in the nearer - term? Will real estate agents change their marketing, and sales strategies, to address the new concerns? Will we witness fewer Open Houses, because of concerns, in terms of Social DIstancing, etc?

3. Mortgage rates: How might the government, Federal Reserve, etc, address these issues, and, will they, create circumstances, where mortgage rates, are, maintained, at an attractive, low rate, in order to shore - up the housing market, a major component of the overall economy? Will they demand lower down - payments, and, will that create, a potential, housing crisis, into the future?

4. Commercial real estate market: Will larger stores, become tomorrow's equivalent of real estate dinosaurs? Will malls, become far less popular? How many restaurants, and other real estate establishments, go out of business, because of the present economic stresses, etc? Will strip malls become more popular? How many Real Estate Companies might realize, they can do more, remotely, and thus reduce their spaces? How many might not be able, to afford, the public health necessities, and guidelines, into the future? If restaurants are often challenged, in the past, how will they be able to afford, lower occupancy rates, etc? How will bars, etc, have to adapt, or perish?

5. How real estate business will be conducted? How might the Real Estate Business, of the future, appear, and be different, from the pre-pandemic one?

How will real estate, be different, into the future? Will you be one of the wise individuals, ready, willing, and able, to adequately, respond, and proceed, into the future?

4 Real Estate Components Which Will Be Impacted

As a Real Estate Licensed Salesperson, in the State of New York, for over 15 years, I have observed, several previous, various types of markets. While, we often, think of only, buyers, sellers, and/ or, a neutral market, the present - day, pandemic, and associated, health, and economic crisis, will, most likely, have, some longer-term impacts, and ramifications, which might, permanently, change this horizon. With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, 4 specific, real estate components, which, will probably undergo, game-changing, longer-term, changes, and ramifications.

1. Housing market, pricing, buyers, etc: Since, in many states, restrictions imposed, in the so-called, social distancing, requirements, housing sales, marketing, etc, have, for the time being, stopped, completely! When this crisis, eventually, ends, how might this market, be affected? While the combination of low - interest rates, and pent - up desire, by some, to participate in this essential part of the American Dream, might, to some degree, balance other factors, I believe, we will witness, overall, in most areas of the nation, reduced pricing, because, there will be fewer qualified, potential buyers.  Real Estate Business




This is, largely, because, of the dramatic drop in stock market, etc, prices, and, thus, many will find, their personal asset value, greatly reduced. Perhaps, there may be some, government programs, to help, but, these, would have to be certain, we don't witness another real estate bubble, caused by incoherent financing programs!

2. Storefronts/ retail: Because, many have had to develop, alternative, technology-based ways, to sell their goods, the current trend, which, already, was challenging, to the conventional retail market, become, even more stressed! In the foreseeable future, we will probably, not see, any significant improvement, and, thus, more vacancies. How might this impact, especially, those smaller, property owners, in terms of their ability to maintain, and afford, ownership? It is also, probable, many companies, will decide, they need less space, and, obviously, that will have considerable impacts!

3. Office space: This crisis has made it necessary, for Real Estate Companies, to have employees, work remotely. The longer, this continues, many corporations, will probably, believe and realize, they do not need, nearly as much office space, and associated expense? How would that affect the number of vacancies, and lease pricing?

4. Rental apartments: Since, fewer people, will, probably, be able to own, their own homes, more will seek apartment rentals! However, since many will probably have, more of a post - Depression mentality, because of the economic, and fear aspects, of this crisis, it is probable, luxury apartment markets will suffer!

The immediate ramifications of this crisis, from an economic perspective, are probably, significant, in the real estate industry, and associated markets! Be prepared!
